A close-fit, longline top designed to stay in place — in practice and in everyday life.
The Sohang Top was created by Cornelia Kauhs, founder of Breath of Fire, as the natural companion to our legendary Sohang Pants. Same intention, same spirit — comfort that disappears, coverage that frees you, fabric that lasts.
Since 2009, the Sohang Top has been a true everyday basic for thousands of women across Europe. We wear it ourselves daily — on the mat, layered under a kimono in winter, with jeans or a skirt for casual days, or alone in the warmth of summer. With its wide colour palette, it's the kind of piece you keep coming back to, in every shade you need to build a complete wardrobe.
What makes it unique
- Close, body-hugging fit — moves with you in every posture without ever shifting, riding up, or revealing the lower back.
- Wide, supportive straps — comfortable on the shoulders, secure under jackets, elegant on their own.
- Slightly longer cut — sits gently over the waistband, smooth silhouette and full coverage during forward folds and inversions.
- 220g brushed jersey — the same soft organic cotton as our Sohang Pants. Holds its shape wash after wash, feels like a second skin.

Honest note on fit
The Sohang Top has a soft V-neck — not too deep, but for fuller busts it can feel a little open during dynamic practice. If you want full coverage with more support, we recommend the Maia Tank Top (close fit, higher neckline) or the Cephei T-shirt (sleeves and relaxed coverage — perfect for dynamic styles).
Ethically made in Europe
Every Sohang Top is knitted, dyed and sewn in Portugal, in the same small family workshop as our Sohang Pants — a place we visit personally. All fabrics are certified organic and dyed with processes gentle enough for a baby's skin. 92% certified organic cotton · 8% elastane for lasting shape and a soft, supportive feel.
Styling tip
For a refined silhouette, choose the same colour for your top and pants. The tonal look creates a subtle vertical line that visually elongates the body — effortless and timeless. The Sohang Top exists in many shades precisely so you can build it into every layer of your wardrobe.

Care
Machine wash at 30°C, inside out. Air dry only — no tumble dryer. This preserves the elastane and keeps the colours and fabric beautiful for years.

The original Sohang set
The Sohang outfit was the very first ensemble designed by my mother — a combination born from practice, movement, and a deep understanding of the body.
The Sohang Top, Sohang Pants, and Amba Jacket were created to be worn together, forming a balanced, fluid silhouette that supports freedom of movement, warmth, and presence.
Styling tip
For a more refined silhouette, choose two pieces in the same color — either the pants and top, or the pants and Amba jacket.
Wearing the same color on top and bottom creates a subtle vertical line, visually elongating and refining the silhouette for a timeless, effortless look.
