The Amba Wrap Shirt was created by Cornelia Kauhs, founder of Breath of Fire, as the easy outer layer of our collection. A piece you slip on without thinking — before or after practice, during meditation, or whenever the body needs gentle warmth and continuity.

Designed to tie cleanly at the front, or to be worn fully open without long ties dangling in the way — so it's easy to slip on and off when you need warmth during slow flows, meditation or savasana.

Honest note on fit

The Amba is designed to tie cleanly at the front or to be worn open. If you'd like to tie it in the back, choose one size up — please note that tying it in the back won't sit well over a fuller belly (tying it at the front is much more refined anyway). If you're looking for something different, we genuinely recommend:

  • The Mizar Kimono — a fluid, open kimono layer that drapes naturally, without ties.
  • The Talya Wrap Shirt — a slightly shorter wrap version designed to be tied in multiple ways, including behind the back.

Ethically made in Europe

Every Amba Wrap Shirt is knitted, dyed and sewn in Portugal, in the same small family workshop as our Sohang Pants — a place we visit personally. All fabrics are certified organic and dyed with processes gentle enough for a baby's skin. 92% certified organic cotton · 8% elastane for lasting shape and comfort.

Styling tip

For a refined silhouette, choose the same colour for your wrap and your bottoms. Worn over the Sohang Top and Pants in a tonal palette, the Amba creates a continuous vertical line that visually elongates the body — effortless and timeless. Pairs beautifully with all the Sohang family pieces and the Inderjit 3/4.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C, inside out. Air dry only — no tumble dryer. This preserves the elastane and keeps the fabric beautiful for years.
