Yoga is a practice without gender. But men's bodies move differently — and the cut of what they wear should respect that. The Mahan was designed for that simple truth.
For years, men who practiced yoga had a narrow choice: women's pants borrowed for size, or technical sportswear designed for running. Neither worked. The first compressed where it shouldn't. The second blocked the breath where it matters most — the abdomen.
So we made the Mahan. Designed by Cornelia Kauhs, founder of Breath of Fire, as the men's everyday foundation of our collection. Created from years of practice, not from a trend brief.
What the Mahan is
A yoga pant for men, in 220g brushed organic cotton jersey — the same fabric as our flagship Sohang. Soft against the skin, warm in cool seasons, breathable in warm ones. A piece that holds the body through movement and stillness without restriction.
- A thoughtful men's cut. The pant follows the body naturally, with a clean, flattering line at the back. No squeeze at the waist. No riding up. No pulling.
- Comfort that lasts. From morning practice to walks at sunset, through meditation and pranayama. A garment born from long wear, designed for it.
- Versatile silhouette. Refined enough for daily styling. Relaxed enough for a full Ashtanga session.
- Ethically made in Europe. Knitted, dyed and sewn in our small Portuguese workshop. The same fabric as our women's Sohang. The same care, the same hands.
What it serves
- All yoga styles — Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Kundalini. The cut adapts.
- Meditation and pranayama — long-held postures without compression on the abdomen.
- Martial arts and movement practice — the full range of motion, with structure where needed.
- Everyday wear — at home, on walks, travelling. A piece that crosses contexts.
Built to last
Our 220g brushed jersey holds its shape wash after wash. The organic cotton softens with use rather than wearing thin. The elastane (8%, certified) gives just enough flexibility for deep poses without losing structure.
For warmer days or shorter practices, we recommend the Mahan Shorts — same line, same fabric, in a shorter cut.
A complete look
For a clean tonal silhouette, pair the Mahan Pants with the Sadhak Men's Yoga T-shirt or the Bencha long-sleeve — same shade top and bottom. The continuous line elongates the figure, effortless and timeless.
Men who practice are not an afterthought in our story. The Mahan is one of our most loved pieces, returned to by yogis across Europe — teachers, students, daily practitioners. It is, simply, what we would want to wear ourselves.
